We are starting early on the home improvement projects this year, as we don’t usually get going on these until May/June timeframe. But there was a sale at the local hardware store, so we decided to work on the laundry room this winter. Last weekend we ordered cabinets for above the washer/dryer – they came in two days later – fast delivery!
Yesterday Rick moved the washer/dryer out of the corner, took the existing shelving down, and then proceeded to spackle and prime the walls for the new color that will decorate our laundry room walls – gacuamole. I know, you are thinking a nasty green, but once done I will post pictures of it – it truely is a nice green.
While we are working on the laundry room, we had a mishap with our garage door. I will not mention names, to protect the innocent. So, that will be Home Improvement Project #2 – a new garage door, to be put in later next week. Of course this means our cars will be out in the wintery conditions this weekend – which of course is just in time for the ice/snow storm headed our way.
I better get started on painting!
Until next time, Danith
My husband and I have taken on quite a few home improvement projects and have used this book for all of them…the 1, 2, 3, instructions are practically idiot proof…and they let you know that no project is ever as easy as it looks. I love this book.
